    Saher Khan reports from Red Hook for The Ink. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, she graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in journalism and a minor in political science. She also worked as a reporter for her college paper, The Daily Illini, and contributed to Champaign’s local online magazine, Smile Politely. She interned with the Chicago Sun-Times on its magazine, Splash, and at a civil rights non-profit, CAIR, where she served as a communications correspondent and wrote for CAIR-Chicago’s publication, The Chicago Monitor.
