Losing Handler Finds Comfort at Westminster Dog Show
Mary Jo Marsh, a dog handler from Michigan, had high hopes for Rufus, her 4-year-old Sussex Spaniel, to win Best of Breed at this year’s Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. As she battles uterine cancer, Marsh fought her way to the competition ring, where, instead of prestige, she found strength and companionship to take her through her illness.
